The Equipping Department is all about connecting you into Activate Church! Every person is encouraged to become involved in what we call Team Activate. Regardless of what area you serve in, we are all a part of the same team and are here for the same purpose. That purpose is to build God’s kingdom and serve the House as we lead the change together!

Equipping is here to help you to identify your ministry gifting. We will help you plug in to the relevant department and then follow up and provide support to ensure that your placement is successful. We want to see you involved and serving out of joy and a conviction to your gifting, rather than serving out of guilt or obligation. All volunteers across the church go through Equipping and are then fed into relevant departments. Equipping is here to assist all the other departments, to add value to them and help make them great! The Equipping Department, put simply, is the HR department (human resources) for volunteers.

• We have Equipping Connectors on a Sunday who are ready to get you involved.
• We run equipping interviews which give you an opportunity to share your heart about where you feel called.
• We conduct surveys and then follow you up to see that you are connected and that you stay connected.
• We re-connect volunteers to different departments if they feel they want a change.
• We facilitate Team Activate nights.

Team Activate runs every month on a Sunday afternoon. This church DNA meeting provides an opportunity for everyone involved at Activate to interact with each other, hear an inspiring and practical word from one of our pastors and be informed of important information affecting the life of the Church. If you are involved in any area at Activate we require you to be there.
