INTERNSHIP
When we consider Jesus’ model for training His twelve
disciples, it becomes clear that effective training is not possible
outside of close relationship. To provide teaching or information
only would be to neglect the importance of practical experience and
mentorship. On the other hand, when only practical training is
provided, the importance of spiritual leadership and personal growth
is neglected.
Activate Academy adopts a holistic approach whereby we expose our
interns to a strong leadership community. Interns are taught in
equal measure the call to knowing God personally, being in community
with others and fulfilling the individual ministry that God has for
each of their lives.
This one-year journey of discovery is about developing
spiritually and experiencing the power of God in a foundational,
personal and dynamic way. Interns are assigned a Mentor for the year
and serve in a specific area of Church ministry such as creative,
youth, kids, operations, media or pastoral and learn the values of
Activate Church as they participate in team projects, a prayer
retreat, group discipleship, one-on-one mentorship and much more.
