Activate Church was birthed in prayer and continues to grow out of a deep devotion to prayer. Prayer is two-way communication with God. In prayer God speaks to us and we speak to him. He listens to us and we listen to him. Prayer is more than just asking, it also involves praising, worshipping, giving thanks, interceding, petitioning and spiritual warfare. Prayer is the anchor of the Christian life. When we pray we get God’s perspective on our lives and we receive the power of the Holy Spirit to do God’s will and resist temptation in our lives.

Due to this devotion to prayer, we have 4 weekly prayer meetings;

• Tuesday 6.30am – 7.30am
• Thursday 7.45pm – 9pm
• Sunday 9.30am – 9.45am (before the service)
• Sunday 5.30pm – 5.45pm (before the service)

SMS

One of the best ways to inform Activate Church of a need you have is to SMS the prayer department. We have a dedicated prayer leader who manages prayer requests sent though. This system doesn’t require a name and is therefore treated as anonyms. The prayer leaders will pass this SMS onto a team of intercessors to pray for your prayer request.
